Bad stuff happens

Well, it has been forever, but quick overview, so you know why I am quiet. My house was vandalized. Not just a little, a lot. EVERYTHING, including the pool. Even our insurance company was shocked at how bad the damage was. The cops haven't prosecuted anyone, even though they caught one boy, another left his school ID tag, and the third was our neighbor, whom my dh saw. More names were handed out by the kid that was caught. So, what does it mean? It means I am tired. Small plea to parents everywhere. Raise your children. As in be a part of their lives. RAISE them. And when your child has paint all over his shirt, claims he was not a part of the paint throwing party in the vandalized house, DON"T BELIEVE him. Seriously people. So for listening to my rant, I have a coupon for you: $6.00 off Southern Creek Designs coupon code: BlogCandy good until June 18, 2010

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about this. It's an awful feeling.
A few years ago we woke up and found that the back of our house had been egged. The only way an egg could have gotten there is from the backyard of the neighbors house. When I went to talk to the 'adult' in charge - well, it was much the same response as you got.
It saddens me to think that parents let their children run wild. They aren't doing anyone (including the child) any favors. Consequences will be much more harsh if the police catch an 18 year old doing the same thing.
    *sigh*
