As we are finishing up school with the kids, and finishing up piano recitals and competitions, I want to sing out, THIS IS THE END!!! (at least for this year)  I will be celebrating and doing a big happy dance after the final recital is done.  I have a bunch of fun new things up in the store, though, so maybe you will all do a happy dance as well :)

In my happy color series, I am up to No. 6.  I know, I know... I skipped No. 5.  It just wasn't working. SO it will be coming soon!  We are gearing up for Thanksgiving in the US.  I thought I had a meal planned out, but the kids reminded me of a few "must have" items that I had forgotten about. Frog Eye Salad being at the top of the list.  On top of that I have one sick girl, and we are trying to get all of the doctor appointments out of the way so we can enjoy our holiday.  I am looking forward to it!

Well, I made it through another week! Three cheers for me!  The booty bags are open , and you can purchase the pieces.  Another cheer!  I have had two Dr. Peppers already.... another cheer!! I will be passing out prized to those who participted in the Piratey Challenges @Plaindigitalwrapper :)  and I will hopefully be swapping freebies on my facebook page. October is sneaking up on us, so be sure to grab the Color Challenge mini (in the PDW forum) before the end of the month!

New stuff:

So, today we woke up to needing another blanket put on the bed.  It actually is a very nice feeling being able to snuggle down in bed, huddled in a cave of blankets.  That little moment lasted about 10 minutes before I heard the K's shouting that it was breakfast time.  I guess I could have ignored them, but let's get real, breakfast isn't going to magically jump out and feed itself to the babies, although I secretly wish for this every morning.

This week I was working on a kit "Live Life".  It has some beautiful blues in it, with a touch of lime green.  I know, I should have pushed the boy angle part of this more, and I will work on that with the next kit.  It is really hard when you have so many girls dancing through the house. 

We are also getting ready for our pirate week! September 19th is the big day for Talk Like a Pirate Day.  Be ready to play!

I really should be titling this, When Life Gives you Lemons.  Or maybe that will be my new kit :)  So let's sum things up for you, so you know why I am a crazed nut:
Trip to Children's Hospital with my son.
Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
Lots of testing, lots of insulin, lots of carb counting.
Welcome to my new life.

They sent us home, with reassurances that we wouldn't screw it up. Aren't they an optimistic bunch :) 

ANYWAY, I am not quite back from mental trip to shock-ville, but I am slowly getting there.  I do have a kit I just finished before everything happened.  It is ironically called, All About the Candy.  I am working on the mini for this months Piece Wrapping Challenge!  I should have it up soon!

Well, if you hadn't already guessed, I live in Oklahoma.  The last three weeks have been something of a nightmare as our state has been repeatedly dealt the tornado card.  In our 16 years here, I can say that we have never had two F5 tornadoes in a two week period, until now.  YAY us!  I am very thankful that we have not dealt with direct hits.  Many of our friends currently have no homes, though, and we have spent some time after each storm verifying the whereabouts of everyone.  SO... I am finally getting back on track.  On with the show!
