This time of year always ends up busier than ALMOST any other.  This year, we had 2 graduating from college, 1 graduating from high school, and we have had 4 birthdays.  That number will jump to 7 total birthdays, two weeks from now.  I would like to say that everything has been accomplished to my satisfaction, but that would be a laugh :)  I survived. I think that is going to be my new word.  SURVIVE.

This time of year is also about Father's.  Yes, we have father's day coming up.  I might celebrate this whole month on men. Especially since I don't have many masculine kits in my store.  Sorry for that :)

Happy New Year! Lots of things starting up at Plaindigitalwrapper.  First off, there is the January White Sale.  This is our retiring items sale :)  I have over five pages of items that will be retiring. So I have marked them down at amazing prices for you. I will also be adding more to it, in the next week or so.  I have to clear things out, so I can make room for new stuff!

This time of year is the absolute craziest for me!  With the holly dollar days, going on in the store, the family activities, the other social obligations, Christmas shopping, and the BAKING, I feel like I need another "me" to help get everything done. I do know that I need to slow down ;)  Maybe tomorrow!

So, today we woke up to needing another blanket put on the bed.  It actually is a very nice feeling being able to snuggle down in bed, huddled in a cave of blankets.  That little moment lasted about 10 minutes before I heard the K's shouting that it was breakfast time.  I guess I could have ignored them, but let's get real, breakfast isn't going to magically jump out and feed itself to the babies, although I secretly wish for this every morning.

This week I was working on a kit "Live Life".  It has some beautiful blues in it, with a touch of lime green.  I know, I should have pushed the boy angle part of this more, and I will work on that with the next kit.  It is really hard when you have so many girls dancing through the house. 

We are also getting ready for our pirate week! September 19th is the big day for Talk Like a Pirate Day.  Be ready to play!

It seems like a dream. Well, it probably is. This last year has been anything but smooth sailing. I keep hoping that if I make kits about cheerful, happy, smooth sailing type things, that it will happen in my life by osmosis. HAHAHAHA  Okay, so sticking with the positive:

• My youngest daughter will be a giant, according to her growth chart.
• My son's surgery yesterday went very well, and the Mr. slept at the hospital (rather than me).
• It is my birthday and I get to eat cake!
• My husband got me a pasta maker for my birthday, resulting in much experimentation down the road.
• The kids are done with their summer class and all of them pulled an A.

See how many positives I can come up with?  Amazing!  I read an article that made some sense to me.  Picking out the negative things in life is too easy.  There are just so many of them. What is truly challenging is finding the positive in each day. So, for the next little while, you might see a lot of kits regarding happy, cheerful, bright things. At least until our medical fun stuff is over.


SO this week we are having a Street Party!  $1 items are in this category. It will be up for 1 week.  If you see anything of mine in there that you like GRAB IT!  I am retiring these items after this week. Need to make room for more stuff.

So this week, I  spent a little more time on scrapping.  Reminding myself that, the kids don't care if it is PERFECT.  They just want to see the pictures and read the story I write about it.  So here are a few layouts I have created this week:
